secret.rar

With Winrar I archived a file, using a 64 (random) character password for encryption. I called it ‘secret.rar’.

I also encrypted a usb memory stick with TrueCrypt using another 64 character string  for the password.

According to howsecureismypassword.net it would take a desktop PC 58 quinquatrigintillion years to crack my password.

So I figured that with two of these, I should be on the safe side.

After copying the encrypted .rar to the encrypted memorystick …

… I wiped (35 times) the notepad file I had used to paste the passwords from (I didn’t memorize either of them), and deleted it. The memorystick was then cast in resin…

… & the resin-cast flashdrive cast in concrete…

… and then in a ca. 1 cm thick layer of cast lead …

… placed inside a suitcase …

… with a combination lock.

I built 5 identical crates …

kisten

… spray-painted ‘DO NOT OPEN’ on the sides and placed the suitcase in one of these (not necessarily the one on the picture) …

… the remaining four crates were filled to the same weight with junk …
